Users want and need the ability to integrate data warehouse applications to their working environment. Highlander is designed for domain experts, solution providers, corporate and government organizations needing this ability to integrate new tools with their existing systems.

For example, the user can configure Highlander to call a user written dialog that views - even edits - source data during a reach back event. This means that the user can browse the database, drill down on summary cells, through the floor to source level detail, then on to displays of their own making. Editing the source data then recompiling the database completes an integrated feedback loop.

Another integration capability is programmatic database compilation. Your existing systems can prepare source data for entry to the data mart, override Highlander dictionary settings dynamically, then launch the Highlander Loader to update the database, all under the program control of your existing systems. This feature can automate database maintenance or enable Highlander as a means of viewing the output of in-house modeling systems.
